Escrow Closer

The Escrow Closer is responsible for overseeing the closing of purchase and refinance transactions. This person could handle both residential and commercial files. Duties include helping prepare and reviewing closing documents, corresponding with lenders and Realtors and working with the Post-Closing Department.

Current Job Opening: Crites Title

Title Examiner

This role is a unique mix of historical research and analytical problem-solving. Every parcel of real estate has a history, and often that history can be a puzzle, and our examiners work hard in a fast-paced setting to help piece that puzzle together. Primary duties include analyzing real estate records and data across a range of transactions, from residential to commercial to energy projects, reviewing a property's title history, mapping legal descriptions, and working with all involved parties to resolve any title issues.

Field Researcher

This job is a perfect fit for someone who loves history and research. Also know as a Title Searcher, this role is responsible for researching land records and data which can be found in the county records systems. Each parcel of real estate has a history, and often that history can be a puzzle, so you will be part of a team piecing together that puzzle. You will prepare research notes and reports that are essential to every real estate transaction. This job is a perfect fit for someone who loves history and research. Also known as a Title Searcher, this role is responsible for researching land records and data that can be found in the county records systems. Each parcel of real estate has a history, and often that history can be a puzzle, so you will be part of a team piecing together that puzzle. You will prepare research notes and reports that are essential to every real estate transaction. Primary responsibilities are conducting thorough property research by searching, analyzing, and evaluating public records — including deeds, liens, judgments, easements, and plats — to determine ownership, encumbrances, and verifying legal descriptions of homes, land, and buildings. Also researches real estate tax information using public records and third-party software systems.
